Dyed Romney Skeins

100% Romney Wool Skeins from our fiber flock raised right here on MDI. These are 2 ply yarn skeins that has been hand-dyed from non-toxic vegetable sources using sustainable, low-impact processes as part of Professor Susan Letcher's "Sheep to Shawl" course at COA.

The gold shades come from the root of Japanese barberry, an invasive species we are working to eradicate from the forested areas of Peggy Rockefeller Farm.

This yarn is lovingly processed locally at Stacey’s Spinning Haven in Milford Maine

Our flock is shorn once a year and comes in a variety of natural colors and tints.
